Opus Back on Top as Scientists Ponder Threat of the 8th Dimension

Opus Spiritum fought a hard battle to claim victory in a campaign aimed squarely at understanding the phenomenon of rapidly increasing chaos nodes.

This campaign, in support of research by Dr. Sameer Kapoor, focused on entropy with the winning organization having the highest total SEEDs both placed and destroyed. Opus Spiritum saw a total change of 8.56% over their total SEEDs destroyed and placed to date, with nearly 500 SEEDs respectively destroyed and placed. InSight Institute came in a distant second, with an entropic increase of 6.28%. NODE Corporation, while coming in third in terms of total numbers, scored a stunning 8.72% entropic increase due to a historical lack of focus on entropic statistics. Opus Spiritum operatives receive a campaign badge, while active Opus Spiritum operatives also receive 10,000 credits.

Dr. Kapoor released an initial statement thanking operatives for their assistance.

"Without the generous help of all active operatives, this experiment would not have nearly been so successful. While we are still looking at the data, the experiment appears to validate a theory that chaos nodes are the result of energy imbalances within the 8th dimension.

"Current models of SEED dynamics, of course, postulate that a three-brane variant of the Randall-Sundrum model is in effect. Energy differences between the Schott-Turba brane and the Planck brane are amplified between that brane and our own 'home' brane, resulting in macro-scale quantum effects. The machanism for this appears to be barrier penetration via the 8th dimension, which is curled tightly around itself. The extremely curved geometry of the eighth dimension limits the amount of energy which can be transferred through interdimensional processes, resulting in disruptive harmonics that give rise to chaos nodes."

Dr. Kapoor went on to speculate that energy was transferred through an inverse relationship between the 8th dimension and active operatives, which would explain the prevalence of chaos nodes in areas with some (but not large amounts of) operative activity.

"There may be a way to alter the geometry of the 8th dimension to affect this process." Dr. Kapoor continued. "We should know more very soon."

The Center Must Hold

With the disheartening news that chaos nodes are spreading at exponential rates (node numbers have increased by nearly 1700 over this last week), S.O.S., along with the three licensing organizations, are encouraging all operatives to resist them by placing FORT SEEDs. FORTs prevent SEEDs of other organizations (including naturally-occurring chaos nodes) from existing within their areas of effect, making FORT SEEDs our first line of defense against them.

This campaign will run until November 1st. Dr. Schott of the InSight Institute has requested that the campaign be extended until 11pm Pacific Time, stating that experiments conducted by the three organizations require additional operative support.
