Opus Spiritum = Yankees?

With Opus Spiritum taking the trophy for the Acquisition Campaign, pundits have begun to compare them to the New York Yankees, wondering if they are simply too good an organization to beat.

In a campaign focused on acquiring energetic particles, Opus Spiritum operatives collected a massive 1332 particles, more than InSight's 559 and NODE's 647 combined. Opus Spiritum operatives turned these particles into an enormous source of credits. Sales of particles (both new and stockpiled) increased the totals owned by Opus Spiritum operatives by over 1.5 million credits, putting them at a record-setting 10,353,250 credits. This is a larger total than the credits owned by all InSight and NODE Corporation operatives combined, despite Opus Spiritum fielding only 31% of the active operatives in the world.

In related news, NODE Corporation has called an emergency board meeting to discuss how NODE Corporation operatives can counter the threat posed by Opus Spiritum's highly effective tactics. No comments from InSight Institute's Casey Schott have yet been released.

With the advent of PAX Prime 2012, many operatives will be joined in the area by new operatives eager to make their mark in the world. This week's campaign will focus on territorial conquest, with the winning organization being the one that holds the most territory at the end of the campaign.
